Gioielli in Fermento 2019
Gioielli in Fermento 2019 is an international contemporary studio jewellery project and award linked to the cultural and artistic context of Val Tidone region. I’m very happy to announce my participation in this project again! My brooch “Hyacinth perception” will be exhibited together with 48 works of international artists on 12th May 2019.
Contemporary jewellery here may be seen as a “fermenting” creative process: the challenge is to turn natural and available elements into something precious and unique….Since 2011, eight editions, nearly 400 artists and a wider number of pieces have been presented under the selection of an international board of advisors in the field. Curated by Eliana Negroni with the kind collaboration of AGC Italian Contemporary Jewellery Association, Charon Kransen Arts, Klimt02 network, Joya Barcelona and some local partners.
Quality is freedom from deficiencies or defects. Quality is conformance to requirements. It is a high standard on every part of the subject in order to satisfy specific customer or user requirements. ISO standard defines quality as “the totality of features and characteristics of a product or service that bears its ability to satisfy stated or implied needs.”
What defines quality? What is the quality connection between wine and jewellery? Three important coefficients determine a good quality wine. Complexity – a large array of flavours in wine, and a unique selection of colours in jewellery. Intensity – how recognizable each flavour in wine is, and how clear the context in jewellery is. Balance in jewellery refers to good proportions, colour harmony and wholeness. The most important qualities come from fermentation process which can be similar to creative process. To develop new ideas and let them mature into optimal solutions.
Quality is freedom from deficiencies or defects.
In my shop you can buy “Nero d’Avola” brooch – the last of three brooches that were made especially for Gioielli in Fermento in 2014. It was awarded with the First Prize together with, Spumante and Vernaccia (both already sold!).
