This brooch was inspired by a fictional story of the universe – Magenta Memoria brooch is an unique fantasy jewellery piece. At the beginning all is empty and dark. It looks like a never-ending sphere. The darkness is strong and heavy. Only a small grain from the destroyed world remains. The Pink Odyssey is floating and collecting positive energy from the space. In the right moment, at the proper place, it explodes at the speed of light. From one moment to another, the universe is full. Blending, full of light, waiting for you. Make a wish. Create the new world of light, gravid in possibilities. As the darkness declines, see the sparkles of new born stars fascinating your mind. Follow the flow through the space into the farthest corners of the universe. Hollow seas are on your way where you can drift in the deep of your own consciousness. Out there are hundreds of species of unknown nature, strange like “aliens”. This is my vision about these natures. How I see these species, how they look like in my imagination. In the context are the material and the story, my searching in the past, for unknown and forgotten forms. I choose materials which I can “feel”. That means nature materials with some kind of spirit, materials with a touch, colour or light. I build a kind of bridges between the materials, fit them into each other, and make something special…
I created the Magenta Memoria brooch for the collection Orbis Regius in 2017.
Like a figment of my imagination. Reality as lifestyle is too confining, it is a collective feeling. Doors to the other worlds – Doors to other perception – Doors of fantasy and jewelry. An infinite metamorphosis of a butterfly and life. Unrestless energy changes its form, in one moment body to spirit, in another thought to word. Word turns to act, act turns to character. Materials’ metamorphose change the colour and composition. It takes a new shape and charisma. It represents a thought of an immortal energy. Organized creativity particles. Jewellery embodies emotions, it materializes itself in its thoughts and symbolizes its stance. The growth, the symbiosis of the material and the idea, to show how true life is.

To give birth to something new, something old must die. The transformation of material begins already when a being is born. The transformation of a dried piece of wood, that has been a piece of something bigger, in a piece of art to wear. Before, it was a part of a big tree, now it’s a part of a human hand when worn. By focusing on the essentials we reach the blurred lines between natural and artificial. These relationships are the jewel in the composition of freedom and individual expression.
